This week, we focused on
Area of triangles and quadrilaterals. I used these Montessori yellow materials for
the presentation, which I made using a foam sheet and a 1 cm yellow grid paper.
I
just followed the instructions given in the Geometry Album of Cultivating
Dharma. Initially, we concentrated only on rectangles and squares. My little
one practiced a lot of sample problems on rectangle, square and irregular
shapes consist of rectangle and square. Then we moved to triangles and finally
to parallelogram and trapezoid. Here are the snapshots of our presentation...
